Antique Ceranor Art Deco style coffee set in half white porcelain with gold trim, coffee pot, milk jug, sugar bowl, 10 cups and saucers, antique objects showing traces of time and use, chipped coffee pot lid, trim slightly faded in places. Satisfactory condition.
Manufacture Céramique du Nord (Ceranor) is a French company specializing in the production of ceramics. It was founded in 1946 in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, in the north of France, and produced mainly porcelain tableware.
Over the years, Ceranor has gained a reputation for the quality of its products and has worked with many designers and artists to create original and innovative collections. The manufacturer has also produced pieces under license for brands such as Villeroy & Boch and Wedgwood.
However, despite its initial success, Ceranor encountered economic difficulties in the 2000s and was liquidated in 2007. Today, some pieces from the Ceranor factory are sought after by collectors and vintage ceramic enthusiasts for their quality and design.
