Set of 3 large hollow dishes, pocket emptiers, Vallauris Cerenne workshop
Set of 3 large vintage Vallauris Cerenne empty-pocket dishes in good general condition. Dimensions 40cmx 16cm
Created by Charles René Neveux in 1943, the Cerenne workshop takes its name from the contraction of its company name “Céramique René Neveux”.
At the height of its fame, the workshop was one of the largest in Vallauris, with around fifty employees and 15 decorators. Its production ranged from utilitarian ceramics to unique pieces with a number of special orders for French and international clients.
There are also pieces of furniture with ceramic decoration. The pieces signed by René Neveux are relatively rare. Sold in 1958, the workshop operated until 1984. Today, the building is listed as a historic monument.
