This Sarreguemines elephant pitcher n°4470 is an original piece of antique French earthenware, produced between 1890 and 1920 by the famous Sarreguemines factory.
Depicting a seated elephant, trunk raised forming the spout, this pitcher combines utilitarian function and decorative sculpture. Its expressive design and nuanced light glaze are characteristic of Sarreguemines productions from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
